Binging on homemade chicken and dumplings that is..yummm.
I wonder if my mom knows I still have this:
It’s an old syrup pitcher she used back when I was knee-hi to a grasshopper. (Grasshoppers – eew!)
And seriously, who needs this many cookie cutters?
I mean, really.
Anypoodle…
Mark and I were a little worried about being able to get all the big furniture out of the house on Saturday. It was going to be just me, him and his friend Kelly. Then we put a call to arms out to the club. Here’s what we’ve gotten back, word for word:
I am working on Sunday but I can help you guys Saturday -J.
Absolutely, will make some time to help – SJ.
I’ll see how work is going and try to be there. – B.
I will be there to help. – R
Both of us will be there to help. -J and S
I am so happy! We are gonna knock this out in no time. We just have to make sure we are ready. There’s nothing worse than having folks here to help move while you’re still packing!

THAT.
IS.
SO.
AWESOME.
These are, of course, the same weirdly ritualistic people who knight each other, right?
But I’m guessing they also rally every Christmas for a big-ass ride to Children’s Hospital?
You know who your friends are, girl.
(Um. Notice that I haven’t volunteered…)
I AM your friend. I’m just not weirdly ritualistic or badass.
Ok – I for one felt my heart skip a beat at the sight of those cookie cutters! I love them! How cool!
Oh my goodness, I remember that carafe but I didn’t know you had it. It was well used. Are you settling in over there yet? Can’t wait to come see. I liked the pics of your bike group and the music was good too. Some interesting looking peeps. Wanna go to lunch on Friday? Remember you still have a barbie in my file cabinet. I was told not to “touch” it. LOL
love,
mom
Oh my gosh–I remember that syrup pitcher. You didn’t throw that out, did you?????
